This half-day tour is both a great insight in to modern high-country farming in New Zealand and an opportunity to go off the beaten track and explore the remote landscape around Lake Wanaka. You will travel by 4WD vehicle along back roads and through farmland, passing red deer, sheep and cattle as they graze, and learning about the rich heritage of farming life in the area. You’ll visit historic sites and stop to soak up the majestic views between optional short walks through alpine meadows and ancient forest. Expect to take lots of photos along the way!
