Rob Roy Glacier is an enormous glacier that reaches down from Rob Roy Peak, in the heart of Mount Aspiring National Park. This guided day trip takes you from Wanaka in to the scenic Matukituki Valley whereupon you start your walk across farmland and through alpine forest to a spectacular viewpoint of the glacier. Here you stop for lunch before descending back to the car park. You will be walking for around four hours (10 kms) and will pass tumbling waterfalls and mountain streams, cross swing bridges and learn about the unique ecosystem of this World Heritage area.
