Just north of Greymouth, where the rainforest rolls down to the ocean, you will find Breakers, a delightful B&B perched overlooking the Tasman Sea. There are just four guest rooms here, two in the main building and two in an annex, all with sea views. The ocean theme runs through the property with uncluttered, fresh décor and eco-friendly toiletries in the rooms. Each has access to an outdoor balcony with seating and from here you can wander down the garden and through the native bush to the beach. Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room and a light evening bite can be arranged for those not wishing to drive to nearby Greymouth for dinner. This is a great spot from which to explore the west coast and Paparoa National Park, with Punakaiki/Pancake Rocks about a 25-minute drive away and many walking and cycling trails much closer.
