Mohua Park is a unique and beautifully secluded accommodation option in the heart of the Catlins. Four self-contained, environmentally-friendly cottages are nestled amongst the native bush overlooking the Catlins River Valley and offer excellent access to walking trails and the various local sights. The cottages all have full kitchen facilities and WiFi but no television – watching the birds and other local wildlife should take priority here. If you would prefer to be catered for then the hosts can offer breakfast and an evening meal at the main homestead, and a laundry facility is also available for a small charge. The hosts also offer a few fantastic guided tours – a sunrise or sunset wildlife tour or a full-day tour to some of the main highlights of the region. This is the ideal place to escape to for a couple of days and truly immerse yourself in the beautiful Catlins.
