Tucked away on the eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula, close to white sands of Cooks Beach, Mussell Bed is a wonderfully relaxing B&B. The property looks out over tranquil gardens that roll down to a little creek – from here it’s possible to kayak to the beach! There are three uniquely decorated guest rooms and a self-catering cottage. Each room is light and airy and opens out on to a patio area where you can enjoy the breakfast that is brought to your door each morning, whilst the cottage has all the facilities you need to create your own. From here it is a short walk to Shakespeare Reserve, where you will find splendid views of Lonely Bay, and a little further along is the foot ferry to Whitianga where there are a number of cafés and restaurants.
