Tucked away on the south-western shore of Lake Taupo, at tranquil Pukawa Bay, Oreti Village offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by native bush and stunning lake and mountains views. The property consists of several buildings made of natural timber, housing a good selection of accommodation and facilities. All of the apartments have two bedrooms, thus providing plenty of space for a couple or family alike, and have a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area and a balcony or deck with panoramic views. The restaurant shares the superb views and offers delicious evening meals along with a good selection of New Zealand wines (open Wednesday to Sunday only). The rest of the time you will need to self-cater and due to the remote location a little advance planning is required, however, once you’re there we are sure you find it’s well worth it.
