Shotover Jet is one of Queenstown’s most iconic adrenaline activities, a thrilling journey through the rugged Shotover Canyon. You board your jet boat and travel at up to 85 kilometres per hour along the river, past rocky outcrops and through narrow canyons, pausing every now and then to enjoy the scenery and learn a bit about the canyon and how it was formed. There are a number of twists and turns along the way, including a couple of famous Shotover 360-degree spins, therefore whilst the experience is suitable for all ages (height restrictions apply) it’s not really suitable for the faint-hearted!
