Beaufort House is a charming, historic B&B set on the side of a hill overlooking Akaroa Harbour. This lovely weatherboard abode is home to five luxurious guest rooms, four on the first floor and one on the ground floor. Each is tastefully furnished in a traditional style to capture the heritage of the property, using English and European antiques and decorative upholsteries, all complemented by modern en suite bathrooms. The house has a warm guest lounge and a sunny outside deck area, and it is surrounded by lush gardens and a small vineyard, all very tranquil spots to enjoy a morning coffee or early evening glass of wine. The delicious, full breakfast makes use of as much local produce as possible and is served either in the dining room or on the terrace, depending on the weather.
