Mitai Maori Village is a recreation of a traditional Maori Village, offering visitors an authentic insight in to the culture and customs of the New Zealand Maori. On arrival you will receive a traditional welcome and overview of the rules of entering the sacred Maori space. Throughout the evening you will enjoy a variety of song, dance and games, including the famous Haka war dance, as well as take a stroll to the river to see an ancient Waka (canoe) and learn about the Maori’s connection with flora and fauna of the native bush. A generous Hangi buffet dinner includes traditionally earth-cooked meat and vegetables as well as cold salads and desserts (a vegetarian option is available). Pick-up and drop-off is available from central Rotorua hotels.
